The Half Blood Prince..so-so only, TGV…bad.
Jul
I was so excited, we went to see Harry Porter and the Half Blood Prince last Saturday. It was only launched last Thursday on 16th July 2009. We bought two tickets for TGV Sunway Pyramid online and paid for the 12.10 p.m show.
Our plan was to have a light brunch in Sunway and walk around before the movie starts. Of course, we have in mind some relly tasty caramel popcorn to go with this fabulous movie that we have never failed to catch up since the part 1.
Unfortunately, our Saturday plan did not went as we thought it would be. We had great brunch but the experience with TGV and the movie was rather disappointing. We went to collect our ticket at 11.55 a.m, 15 minutes before the movie starts. Sadly, there were no special counter for those who have paid online so we are asked to queue up in the booking counter line. We were shocked when we see that it was an extremely long line but usually it was pretty quick because people are just collecting their tickets. However, after 10 mins, we are still at the same standstill.
I was feeling curious so I walked in front towards the counter and I realize people who have not booked their tickets are also queuing in this line to purchase their tickets. This is supposed to be for booking collection only. No wonder the line did not move because they were taking time to choose the movie they want and also picking their seats. I was furious, I paid for the tickets ahead and now I may just missed part of the movie because the staff of TGV did not follow the procedure. When it was finally our turn, we told the counter staff that she should not allow purchase on this queue because it will slow down the people who have booked their tickets and may cause them to missed their movie. She, in a very bad manner reply our comment. We were very frustrated with such standard of service, we took down her name and decided we should file a complaint.
The lucky part was we did not missed the movie, but we had to go through such bad experience early in the day. Now the movie part.
This round, there were not much of action in the movie. No confronting with the you-know-who devil and really not so much of magic. It was pretty funny though becauce there were a lot of high school crush and lovey dovey scenes involving between Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny. The movie was about two and half hour but really we do not feel the excitement of magic and there was no extraordinary creatures this time to take our breathe away.
The ending was really disappointing because we will need to wait for the next part to find out. Yes, there is no definite ending except the death of our most dear Professor Dumbledore. He died not in the hands of the powerful Lord Voldemort but in the hands of someone he trusted and somewhere in between you can sense that there are more mysteries plot in his death. BUT…wait till the next part of the movie and that probably will only be in a year’s time. How disappointing…
Overall, the movie as really SO-SO only. But, I can bravely said that TGV offers bad service in terms of their online purchase and also staff attitude. I will not watch another movie in any TGV.
