If you can recall, I introduced Taman Desa fish head noodles in my September post. Since then, I have never been there anymore because it is too far away and the food sold off fast so sometimes when you reach, there is nothing for you anymore. A best friend of mine recommended another area for great fish head noodle and the best part is that it is only 15 minutes away from my office! Less crowded, and more convenient. The only drawback is the limited parking space because it is located at a low-cost housing area. If you know where is Plaza Dwitasik, at that junction go all the way straight heading to the Cheras LRT station. Just go along the road, until you come to a small Chinese neighborhood. You can see a 4 storey building, the lowest floor are shop lots while the upper ones are flats. This fish head noodle shop is located here. Such coincidence, “Ho Chak” was here before to introduce the food.

An unusual name to be used for a restaurant but this was the reason why I decided to go into the restaurant and take a look. The restaurant is just a small lot squeezed in between of the stretch of restaurants such as Sushi King. It is just above the ice rink in Sunway Pyramid.

The shop lot can fit about 15 tables for 4 pax. It was a Saturday, but there were not many customers. I was rushing time for a movie so decided that crowded restaurants might not be a good choice because of the long waiting list.

Thank you Citibank for running the RM 6 promotion with Cineleisure Damansara. All clear card holders are now entitled to a movie with complimentary popcorn and soft drinks at only RM 6! This was the reason I have gone to watch Eagle Eye at Cineleisure and also discovering Ah Cheng Laksa just at the lower ground floor.

We were late for the movie so we thought of having a quick lunch just around the cinema. As we walked around, we found this shop of interest and decided to give it a try. To be frank, there were not many other choices around either.

When I first tried pasta, I know it as an Italian dish. Two years back, there was even a popular Taiwanese; drama 微笑pasta and in the script it says that Pasta was originated from Taiwan. Nowadays, many fusion restaurant has appeared and the pasta’s origin is no longer important. People do not frequent an Italian restaurant for pasta, they can have it Hong Kong style restaurant and in Taman Megah there is even a stall selling pasta. Last weekend, we went for a stroll in Sunway Pyramid shopping center and while deciding what to have for lunch we spotted an interesting shop selling only pasta. The fascinating part about this shop is not it’s pasta, but it is a Japanese style shop selling only pasta. It is decorated with all kinds of mini pasta in the display window.

Work has taken all my time for the past few weeks. This is my usual lifestyle since my business is very related to the year end season. However, I have not forgotten to eat well and sleep well during this hectic period.

One of the day I was out on an appointment with my partners, I finally had the chance to try out the fish head noodles in Taman Desa. Quite a number of my friends have told me that it is good but I normally have quick lunch near my office so had no chance to go this far. This is like an opportunity and somehow the stressful week become a motivation for me to take a break.
