I was on my way to a movie in Cineleisure and could not decide what to have for dinner. It is end of the month so I do not want to go for something too expensive but yet could nto stand the thought of some bad tasting food that will ruin my evening. My boyfriend suggested a detour to Damansara Utama for a meal before heading to movie. He used to work around the area and there is this shop that serves Malaysian food and tastes so great that it is always packed during lunches.

Thank you Citibank for running the RM 6 promotion with Cineleisure Damansara. All clear card holders are now entitled to a movie with complimentary popcorn and soft drinks at only RM 6! This was the reason I have gone to watch Eagle Eye at Cineleisure and also discovering Ah Cheng Laksa just at the lower ground floor.

We were late for the movie so we thought of having a quick lunch just around the cinema. As we walked around, we found this shop of interest and decided to give it a try. To be frank, there were not many other choices around either.

Origin, according to Wikipedia; It was invented by Javanese street vendors. The explanation draws on the fact that sate only became popular after the early 19th century, also the time of the arrival of a major influx of Arab immigrants in the region. The sate meats popularly used by Indonesians and Malaysians, mutton and beef, are also traditionally favored by Arabs and are not as popular in China as are pork and chicken.

Today, I bring you to a rare sate shop in Malacca.
